The workshop, organized within the framework of the CITY-FOCUS project, will explore the strategic importance of academic and
institutional partnerships within the European research landscape. It will focus on how the principles of the European Charter for
Researchers can guide best practices in research governance, ethics, and collaboration, while shaping the future priorities of EU-funded
research.
Through interactive discussions and practical insights, the event will highlight the relevance of the Charter in fostering a more
transparent, inclusive, and responsible research environment across Europe. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on how
these principles can enhance institutional capacity, promote research excellence, and strengthen international partnerships.
The workshop will also provide a platform to exchange ideas on how universities and research centers can align their internal strategies
with European standards, contributing to greater cohesion and competitiveness in the European Research Area (ERA).
